OUR DOGS

The most important aspect of the fascination about dogsledding are the dogs. They are able to perform highly and prove to be reliable even under harsh conditions.

Our dogs are called Alaskan Huskies. The breed originated in the US and is not subject to any official standard which explains the different look of the dogs. The Alaskan Husky evolved from the classic sleddog breeds. By crossing the sleddogs with other breeds like hunting dogs or greyhounds originated a new, robust, persistent and above all fast sleddog. By breeding the Alaskan Husky the focus is less on appearance rather than on a good appetite, resilient paws and the so-called "will to go". 

This page is dedicated to our Korpkullen Huskies. They are the reason behind everything and the center of our own small world. Into that world we would like to take you and share our fascination with you.
