Arkas joined us as a puppy in 2022, almost at the same time as Alba – since then, the two have grown up like siblings. However, their personalities could hardly be more different: the image of an angel and a little devil often comes to mind, although the hyperactive and energetic Arkas, unlike a devil, has an absolutely loving nature. He shows this so excessively, though, that he can really get on the nerves of almost all other dogs. We have never seen a dog that so endlessly and unsolicitedly displays its submissiveness towards all adult dogs. All he really wants is to please everyone.

By now, Arkas has found his place – a true powerhouse in the sled team. When pulling the sled, he can finally channel his energy in a meaningful way and show what he’s really made of. And that is quite a lot.

Arkas is named after the constellation of the Little Bear (Ursa Minor). As a puppy, his cuddly, bear-like appearance reminded us of this constellation. Like a little bear, he was curious, playful, and irresistible – traits that still define him today and add to his charm.
