Flekken came to us at the age of four – a large, black male with impressive stamina and endless energy. Born in a small Norwegian racing kennel, he’s a true bundle of energy who lives for movement.
He got his name from a tiny white spot on the back of his neck – Flekken simply means “the spot” in Norwegian. This small detail used to be the only way to tell him apart from his two nearly identical brothers.
Out of all our dogs, Flekken is probably the one with the strongest drive to move. While the others are already lounging and soaking up the sun on warm summer days, he’s often still on the go – running, sniffing, always in motion. And in winter, when we’re out with the sleds, he makes it unmistakably clear if a break lasts too long in his opinion: that’s when the protests start – because standing still is simply not in Flekken’s vocabulary.
Date of Birth: June 1, 2017
Name Origin: Norwegian for “spot”; named after the small white spot on his neck.
