Tanuki, daughter of Andy’s former lead dog Mackey, is a lively, curious whirlwind who loves to explore the world around her. Sitting still is not one of her strengths – our little "Duracell bunny" is constantly on the move and full of energy. Her restless spirit is also expressed in a unique passion: no piece of wood is safe from her "beaver teeth" – whether for playing, chewing, or simply shredding.
She brings this boundless energy to the sled as well: there, Tanuki gives it her all, charging ahead with unstoppable drive – a true powerhouse with a big heart and strong character.
Date of Birth: August 3, 2019

Tanuki is the Japanese word for the raccoon dog – a wild animal native to East Asia that holds both biological and cultural significance in the region. In Japanese folklore, the Tanuki is seen as a mischievous, playful, and shape-shifting creature known for its curiosity, cleverness, and tireless energy. Traits that perfectly reflect our Tanuki – spirited, witty, and always full of surprises.
